The Cure for the Common Virtue Signal

Talk is cheap and Democrat politicians, leftist activists, and celebrities like to talk. A lot.

Funny enough, when it comes time for politicians to put their money where their mouth is, they come up short. In fact, they’re downright hypocritical. No one is surprised, but no one does anything about it.

Remember when Samantha Bee raged about the children being held at the border, going so far as to call Ivanka Trump a “feckless c**t” live on air. If you try to introduce any children to her children’s school in the swanky, upper-west side of New York and she and her husband will fight tooth and nail to keep you from doing so.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a woman with a deep and abiding Christian faith, believes that her fellow Christians should feel shame for not embracing illegal immigrants. You won’t find them in her swanky San Francisco neighborhood unless they’re her laundry and gardening. You won’t find any homeless people there either.

George Clooney praised Chancellor Angela Merkel for her open borders policy in Germany, yet move out of Sonning, England, and relocated to his walled mansion in Studio City, California once Sonning had been overrun with the refugees he applauded.

Stephen King is a man who loves to sit from his high perch in Maine and scream down at the peasants to the south of him that they’re all shameful for not welcoming in the illegal immigrants with open arms. He lives in a gated mansion far from the action and hasn’t seemed to do much in terms of helping the immigrants himself.

Hollywood is all about the LGBT cause…until it costs them money.

You get the point.

It sure is fun to pretend you’re a very caring and virtuous person but when your life doesn’t reflect your words, you look like a complete douchebag.

Still, for those not paying close enough attention, one could really hear these people, believe what they say, and not know any better. They may truly stay under the influence of these influencers.

The solution to this can be found in an old enemy’s playbook.

Saul Alinsky was an evil man, but he did understand human psychology well enough to know how to manipulate vast swaths of people and combat conservative Americans who may challenge leftist activists. His tactics largely worked for a very long time, and while it took a long time for people to figure out how to combat his style and overcome the radical’s playbook, the radicals themselves are suffering from a serious setback.

Alinsky and the leftist radicals at the time were combatting a religious America where conservatives and Republicans were beholden to an older style of propriety. While the right has largely loosened up, the left has only gotten far more religious themselves.

Today, it’s the left that undertakes witch hunts and crucifies anyone who dares break from the laws of their religion, even each other. So zealous are they in their belief that they can look reality dead in the eye and deny that it even exists, then proceed to call others who point out that reality is real, the insane ones.

Alinsky once utilized people’s virtue against them, saying that his activists should “make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.”

We can take some inspiration from that rule. In fact, Greg Abbott just did it today by dropping off a bus full of migrants in D.C.

This can extend to just dropping off illegal migrants in D.C. as well. We can drop them off in leftist areas all over the country. Martha’s Vineyard, Nancy Pelosi’s neighborhood, and Stephen King’s front gate could use a bus full of migrants.

But we could also even take that further.

Any time a Democrat suggests we need to raise taxes in order to care for the poor and needy, someone in congress should very loudly suggest that they first take a pay cut. When they inevitably don’t, make sure to loudly point that out too.

When someone suggests that our capitalist society has oppressed everyone and that only a move toward socialism could cure our ailments, tell them to give you half of what they have right there on the spot. When they inevitably don’t, loudly point out that they’re no socialist and are, in fact, greedy. Get them on camera while you do it. Point out their clothing, cell phone, and a car if they have one. Ask them why they complain about capitalism as they enjoy it.

Use your imagination. There’s boundless hypocrisy from the left.

We need to start forcing the left to live up to the virtues they signal. It likely won’t change their minds one iota, but the point isn’t to make them change their minds, it’s to make others see them for what they are.

These people are liars who force hardship on everyone else under the guise of moral decency while they themselves do little to help anyone. We live in an age where we’re walking, talking cameras. Showing these people for who they really are isn’t hard and our society would benefit from the wakeup call.
