Gina Carano's Firing From Disney Remains One of the Most Revealing Events in Recent History

Gero Breloer

Gina Carano is a great actress, and as it turns out, a great person as well. Judging from her social media feeds, interviews, and personal testimonies from those who worked with her, the former Mandalorian and current Terror On the Prarie star is an all-around stand-up woman. Despite this, she’s irrationally hated by the left.

The reasons why are as ludicrous as they are alarming. Carano never bought into the gender fluidity concept of the transgender community and resisted demands to put her pronouns in her bio. When they tried to cancel her for that, Carano jokingly responded by putting (beep/boop) in her Twitter bio.

It all went downhill for the left from there. Carano proved to be something of an American patriot, which further enraged the leftists online. All the while, Carano continued to act on “The Mandalorian” against the wishes of the mob’s cancelation attempts. Disney had, till then, resisted the calls to throw the actress to the curb, but this is Disney we’re talking about here. They wanted to cave, and soon they had their excuse, illegitimate as it was.

In 2021, Carano posted a WW2-era picture of a Jewish woman running in her underwear through the street as she was chased by members of her own community, including a child wielding what looked like a small plank of wood. The woman was clearly panicked and seemed to have suffered some sort of abuse. It was below that picture that Carano not only gave her followers a history lesson, but also made the lesson applicable to today.

“Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?”

The point was easy to understand; “those who don’t learn from their history are doomed to repeat it.”

With our political divide at an all-time wide and the push for everyone to get vaccinated reaching fascistic levels, Carano’s tweet was a warning that if we dehumanize people because of their politics or choices, we may revisit a time in our history that we all agree was one of the worst. Anybody with a lick of common sense knew that, but sense is famously lacking today and besides, the left had an actress to cancel.

Disney fired Carano, calling her post “abhorrent” to the applause and celebration of many leftists. Disney appeased the mob who hated Carano for simply disagreeing with them and wanted to ruin her by sacrificing a woman who did nothing wrong. The hard-left had successfully swept an opposing voice off of the world’s largest stage and further plunged Hollywood into its ideological bubble.

But they weren’t done. Despite all that happening to Carano, she still remained a threat as more attention had been given to her than ever before. The left pressed that Carano had indeed done something terrible every chance they got. Former Democrat Senator Heidi Heitkamp declared that Carano was, indeed, a Nazi while on Bill Maher’s “Real Time,” a comment Carano responded to by pointing out how a lie is reinforced into truth.

Fast forward to today, and we’re still seeing the lie that Carano did something wrong continue to be the narrative, and directly from Twitter themselves.

As first reported by Bounding Into Comics, Twitter wrote an explainer surrounding the Carano being brought back up as Whoopie Goldberg’s claim about the Holocaust not being about racism caused her to simply receive a two-week suspension from “The View.” The explainer as to why Carano was fired from Disney declared it was done because Carano had compared COVID-19 restrictions to Nazi’s treatment of Jewish people:

As part of their trending tab, Twitter editorialized discussions happening on their platform comparing Whoopi Goldberg’s two week suspension to Gina Carano’s firing.

They wrote, “Following Whoopi Goldberg’s two-week suspension from The View for comments regarding the Holocaust, people discuss actor Gina Carano’s firing from Disney’s series The Mandalorian for comments comparing COVID-19 restrictions to the Nazis’ treatment of Jewish people.”

This is entirely alarming when viewed for what it is.

For one, a major corporation that controls a massive amount of media that hits the world stage bent to the will of a small mob with fascist intent, signaling further that Disney itself has either been taken over by these types or that they have no desire to resist them. This is very dangerous in and of itself as it proves that Disney will do what’s necessary to appease the radical left be it staffing choices or narrative proliferation.

It’s proof that the narrative proliferation worked because Heidi Heitkamp, who had clearly never seen what Carano had said, declared she was a Nazi without about as much thought as she had proof. It’s proof that Carano’s name had been drug through the mud enough that the baseless accusation stuck, othering her in the eyes of many Americans.

And finally, Twitter’s continued proliferation of the narrative shows either a willingness to reinforce the lie or the unwillingness to speak against the lie.

The bottom line here is this: Carano warned against fascism and corporations continue to bow to the fascists she spoke out against.

This single event should have been one of the most alarming wake-up calls in recent history that our media has fallen to truly evil influence. It’s proof that corporations are willing to blindly accept the narrative that they’re given by political radicals. Carano was the canary in the coalmine.
