Ice Cube isn’t one to cave to pressure and he isn’t going to start now. Not even in the face of the leftist outrage mobs roaming the internet seeking whom they may devour.
The rapper has been working with President Donald Trump on criminal justice reform and openly praised the president for putting a focus on the black community. The working relationship came about after Biden’s campaign said they’d work with him and his plan after the election.
Trump’s team said they’d work with him now.

Cube immediately went to work with the Trump administration to create the “Platinum Plan” which funnels billions of dollars into black communities in order to help set many of them on the right track with opportunities. Cube openly spoke well of Trump which, in today’s world, is a grave sin.
This naturally made the left furious as a notable black celebrity cannot be seen giving props to the left’s most hated enemy. The running narrative is that Trump is the most racist president in modern history, and if he’s helping the black community succeed (again), then black Americans might start to realize that the Democrats have been lying to them.
Cube went on Fox Business with Maria Bartiromo where she asked him about the backlash. Needless to say, Cube isn’t backing down. Not on this.
“At the end of the day, they’re mad ‘cause I’m just willing to work with anybody that’s willing to work with me to see some of these things that’s in the Contract with Black America come to pass,” he said. “I’ve been getting pushback ever since I came out with the Contract with Black America, you know, from everybody who really don’t want us to … have real demands, but people who just want us to basically shut up and vote, and I’m not gonna do that.”
“I’m a citizen of this country just like everybody else, and I can say what I want to say,” he continued. “I’m not aligned with anybody’s personal views. I only care about what they do in public as far as helping the public and, you know, empty rhetoric, empty talk, everybody’s popping off, at the end of the day, we need to get what we need in this country to survive. If we don’t get that, this country won’t survive. And that’s what I’m saying.”
It’s easily understandable what Cube’s strategy is. He wants to do work now and get it done as soon as possible. He’s not wanting to play political games as the Biden campaign clearly was with him. Like Trump, Cube is not a Washington creature. They’re not politicians, so when something needs to be done they don’t beat around the bush. They just do it.
The angry people launching after him over it can be angry all they want. At the end of the day, what needed to be done got done. What drives them crazy the most is that Cube got it done unapologetically with Trump’s help.
The kind of message that sends to the black community is terrifying for them.
