House Speaker Nancy Pelosi wants to make it clear that even though China is reportedly in support of Joe Biden, it’s not comparable to Russia being allegedly in support of President Donald Trump…for some reason.

As reported by the Washington Examiner, Pelosi said on Sunday that Russia is still a major threat to our Democracy but dismissed the threat of China and Iran who both have been reported to support Joe Biden in the coming election because, as Pelosi claims, they aren’t directly trying to interfere:

Pelosi said Sunday that Russia is a major threat to election security heading into November and differentiated the issue from threats posed by China and Iran, which reportedly do not want to see a victory for President Trump.

“Russia is actively, 24/7 interfering in our election,” Pelosi told CNN’s State of the Union. “They did so in 2016, and they are doing so now.”

She added that China is believed to prefer presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden to win in November, an election interference threat she called “not equivalent.”

Pelosi, who also appeared on Fox News Sunday, downplayed concernts that China is trying to interfere in the election.

“They try to blanket it with the Chinese, they said, prefer Biden — we don’t know that, but that’s what they’re saying, but they’re not really getting involved in the presidential election,” she said.

Pelosi, during her interview, let it be known that reports claim China is rooting for Biden.

According to Forbes, China is actually attacking our election infrastructure with cyberattacks according to intelligence officials:

With a little over 100 days before the November election and concerns about election interference mounting, U.S. National Counterintelligence and Security Center director William Evanina issued a public statement Friday warning that foreign adversaries including Russia, China and Iran are taking action to influence the election and urging Americans to “[maintain] vigilance against foreign influence.”

The Democrat party has been defending China against the Trump administration. Last week, California Senator Dianne Feinstein called China a “respectable” country, dismissing its part in the Coronavirus outbreak, as well as its various human rights abuses.

Trump’s digital strategy director, Brad Parscale, tweeted out a campaign video on Monday highlighting how Biden himself has defended China through the course of his campaign.

The video shows the friendly relationship Biden has had with China, adding to the multiple instances where Democrats have shown something of a soft spot for the communist nation.
