Let’s be clear here. The media isn’t a service, it’s a business. Like all other businesses the media is about making money, and in the media’s case, nothing makes money quite like viewers.
What does that mean in the long run?
If a news organization makes money by its viewers then they have a vested interest in making you watch. That means investing in events and organizations in ways that would make you very, very angry.
