Much of the mainstream media has been running defense for the Chinese government during this Wuhan virus pandemic. If there’s one thing we’ve learned it’s that much of the leftist run media will go to extreme lengths in order to damage President Donald Trump in any way they can. This also includes snuggling up with our communist enemies in the Chinese government to make them seem like heroes while Trump seems like a villain.

It’s something that hasn’t been lost on Fox News host Tucker Carlson who showed viewers on Thursday just how low CNN, in particular, had sunk in its coverage of the Chinese virus in terms of how it could help them hurt Trump.

“All over television, you are watching people downplay China’s role in spreading the coronavirus. Downplaying it,” Carlson said. “On CNN, that’s not enough. They always go the extra step over there. Some CNN contributors have practically become emissaries for Beijing.”

Carlson then played a CNN clip that practically worshiped at the altar of China, praising them for coming to Italy’s rescue as it “shook,” and showed a small clip of thing literally singing China’s praises. The clip then cuts to the 2018 picture of Trump sitting as world leaders stood over him with serious expressions during the G7 summit, with the report shifting in tone. CNN begins saying that Trump’s America first policy has given Europe few other options and that he is damaging the trans-Atlantic alliance. CNN points to his failure to consult Europe over the travel ban he issued as one of the reasons, as well as his disagreements with climate change.

The report ends by saying China has stepped into the global leadership role that was abandoned long ago by Trump.

The clip ended and Carlson didn’t hold back.

“It’s almost unbelievable that they ran that on the air,” he said. “It was just pure bootlicking. Flacking for the communist Chinese government. By the way, if they ever take over, Jeff Zucker will be there serving them.”

Other outlets such as the Washington Post have also taken to attacking those who attack China, including Texas Senator John Cornyn. The Washington Post labeled his comments as false and racist after he accused them of being a source of many viruses caused by unsanitary wet markets.

Personally, I believe Carlson’s comments are on the money but he could make an entire show out of pointing out just how far the media has sunk when it comes to their defense of China in order to boost their offense against Trump, not just a segment. Siding with our enemies is the lowest of low, but if there’s an opportunity to damage the Trump administration in any way, there’s no opportunity too rotten.
