There’s a lot of videos coming out of the 2nd Amendment rally in Virginia that continue to demolish narratives and hopes of gun grabbers and Democrats the world over, and one such video comes from a sheriff in Virginia.

A short interview was conducted with Grayson County Sheriff Richard Vaughan who is in attendance at the rally in uniform. Vaughan makes it very clear, in no complicated language, that should any bills pass that unconstitutionally violate the laws of the people, his department will not enforce these laws.

“If the bills go through as proposed, they will not be enforced. They are unconstitutional,” said Vaughan.

Vaughan noted that his job is to protect the constitutional rights of the people be they state or federal.

When it comes to 2nd Amendment violations, it’s often the sheriff’s departments that are the first to step forward and reassure its citizens that if state or federal governments violate the people’s constitutional rights with unconstitutional laws, then they will not enforce said laws.

Last April, Colorado Sheriff Steve Reams of Weld County also assured the people that he would sooner go to jail himself than violate the people’s constitutional rights. At the time, Colorado was also making strides toward gun confiscation with “Red Flag Laws” and local authorities were taking a stand.

Douglas County Commissioner Roger Partridge was also one such authority figure.

“We’re putting a line in the sand for what we believe right now is support (for) constitutional laws,” said Patridge.

Local authorities are oftentimes the line, not just between the people and crime, but the people and overreaching government. Very often, those elected to be Sheriff’s are of the locals themselves and support the people’s rights as they are their own rights as well.

Those local law enforcement officers should be commended for their bravery.
