I’m bored of these impeachment proceedings. They’re unsubstantial and as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez pointed out earlier this week, it’s not even about impeachment. It’s about rallying Democrats for 2020.

The thing is, these impeachment proceedings should have ended a long time ago, and Rush Limbaugh pinpointed that moment according to the Daily Wire:

When the president released the transcript,” he said, “it immediately rendered the whistleblower irrelevant.”

“We then learned the whistleblower himself only knew secondhand what was said on the phone call,” Limbaugh noted. “Plan A was the whistleblower, with instant credibility, was to be the Christine Blasey Ford of this story. Except nobody was gonna get access to him. He was never going to testify because his life was threatened, remember? He was going to be kept under wraps because the president’s men were trying to kill him. The president’s men were trying to injure him. The president’s men were trying to find him. This was going to be the story. The whistleblower would never face cross-examination, would never face questions, would never be identified because what he had was so shocking, it would bring down the entire presidency.”

But Trump was one move ahead of them according to Limbaugh, and it threw off the plan. That should have been the end of it, but Adam Schiff wouldn’t stop beating the freshly dead horse:

“That was Plan A” for the Democrats, Limbaugh emphasized. “Trump releases the transcript of his ‘perfect’ phone call with the president of Ukraine, and we find out that there’s nothing in it that is impeachable. There’s nothing in it that is criminal. It’s literally a nothingburger.”

“That’s when (Democratic Rep. Nancy) Pelosi should have canceled this,” the 68-year-old suggested. “But Schiff told her that he had it. Schiff told her he could still get the ball across the goal line.”

The reason Schiff kept on pressing is that, as I pointed out earlier thanks to AOC saying the quiet part loudly, this isn’t about impeachment. Democrats are going to keep beating this drum as loudly and as often as they can until 2020.

A picture-perfect example is a fact that they’re now saying Trump committed an impeachable offense by simply tweeting about a witness, dismissed former Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, who was currently giving oral testimony. As my colleague Streiff covered in more detail, she wasn’t even on Twitter when this was going down and the only reason she knew about it was that Schiff was telling her about it.

There’s no impeachable offense in that, but Trump can’t smooth out the wrinkle in his pants without Democrats shouting the word “impeachment.”

Not to mention the fact that this isn’t a legal proceeding…or at least it wasn’t. Now that it might be convenient for it to be one, it is?

This isn’t a serious impeachment process, this is a circus designed to make Trump look bad and skew his poll numbers for 2020. It has been since Trump released the transcript of his phone call and we found absolutely nothing to impeach him over.

This is nothing but a show meant to benefit Democrats, and it’s a show brought to you by our tax dollars.
