Texas Father Forced to Put His Child Through Gender Transition Therapy After Losing Custody Battle to Ex-Wife

Jeffrey Younger, a father in Dallas, Texas, lost his court battle for custody of his son on Monday. This custody battle, however, wasn’t like many others. More than just who had control over his son was on the line.

His ex-wife, Dr. Anne Georgulas, aimed to transition Younger’s son into a girl named “Luna” through chemical castration. After a long court battle, Georgulas has won thanks to a nearly unanimous jury who ruled against Younger according to LifeSite News:

A jury has ruled against Jeffrey Younger, the father who is trying to protect his seven-year-old son, James, from chemical castration via a gender “transition.” This means James’ mother, Dr. Anne Georgulas, will be able to continue “transitioning” him into “Luna,” and now has full authority to start him on puberty blockers and eventually cross-sex hormones.

The jury’s decision likely means that Mr. Younger will be required to “affirm” James as a girl, despite his religious and moral objections, and will also be forced to take a class on transgenderism.

With a consensus of 11 of the 12 jurors, the jury decided not to grant Mr. Younger Sole Managing Conservatorship over his two twin boys. They voted that the current Joint Managing Conservatorship should be replaced by a Sole Managing Conservatorship, but that Mr. Younger should not be that person. Judge Kim Cooks will read her ruling on possession, child support, and Dr. Georgulas’ other requests at 1:30 p.m. CST on Wednesday.

The tragic result of this court battle comes after Younger attempted to convince the court that his seven-year-old son isn’t actually transgender like his ex-wife claims. When at his home, or in the presence of his friends, James refuses to wear girl’s clothing and partakes in masculine activities. It’s only when the child is in the presence of the pro-transgender mother that James suddenly switches to being “feminine.”

As I wrote previously, this doesn’t sound like a child with gender dysphoria, it sounds like a child who is trying to please his parents.

The wise thing to do would be to hold off on any life-altering chemicals until the child grows up and is fully able to comprehend the nature of what’s going to happen to him. As children grow, they naturally gain and lose interest in things. LifeSite reported that protesters attempted to appeal to Texas lawmakers to pass this kind of law:

On Friday, protesters called on Texas lawmakers to pass legislation making it illegal for anyone under 18 years of age to begin a medical transition. They argued that children cannot fully understand the lifelong consequences of their decisions and parents should not be allowed to make this decision for their children.

Currently, there aren’t any U.S. laws that restrict the use of puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones or outline a minimum age of administration.

LifeSite also listed what kind of permanent things can happen to a child who is put on these hormones:

  • A blood clot in a deep vein (deep vein thrombosis) or in a lung (pulmonary embolism)

  • High triglycerides, a type of fat (lipid) in your blood

  • Gallstones

  • Weight gain

  • Elevated liver function tests

  • Decreased libido

  • Erectile dysfunction

  • Infertility

  • High potassium (hyperkalemia)

  • High blood pressure (hypertension)

  • Type 2 diabetes

  • Cardiovascular disease, when at least two other cardiovascular risk factors are present

  • Excessive prolactin in the blood (hyperprolactinemia) or a condition in which a noncancerous tumor (adenoma) of the pituitary gland in the brain over produces the hormone prolactin (prolactinoma)

With all of these consequences on the line, you would have figured that a doctor and a jury would be far more cautious about injecting hormones into a child. However, it would appear that activism has won over common sense, and the child will now be “transitioned,” and with the father forced to help.

This isn’t just tragic, it’s cruel. A jury has decided to impose state-enforced child abuse.
