Trump Says He Didn't Suggest Nuking Hurricanes as the Media Is Saying, but the Left Bought It Anyway

This may be one of the more out-there claims by a media and left currently deep in the throes of Trump Derangement Syndrom, but despite the fact that the claim that President Donald Trump suggested we nuke hurricanes is definitely something we should all agree is ludicrous, the left is taking it seriously.

According to Axios, Trump asked if we could just toss a nuclear bomb into the eye of the storm during a briefing on hurricanes:

During one hurricane briefing at the White House, Trump said, “I got it. I got it. Why don’t we nuke them?” according to one source who was there. “They start forming off the coast of Africa, as they’re moving across the Atlantic, we drop a bomb inside the eye of the hurricane and it disrupts it. Why can’t we do that?” the source added, paraphrasing the president’s remarks.

Another source claims Trump never said the word “nuclear,” but did suggest bombing hurricanes in general.

On Monday, Trump sent out a tweet calling the story “ridiculous” and “just more fake news.”

This didn’t stop everyone from Hillary Clinton to 2020 Democratic candidates and celebrities from jumping on the story to make Trump look stupid.

This is a common tactic from the left. They’ll typically jump on any story to make their opponents look like they’re not intelligent enough to use a fork. Take, for instance, George W. Bush and the way the media portrayed him as an imbecile during his time as President. As many can attest, Bush was often the smartest person in any given room he walked into.

That’s not to say that Trump is as intelligent as Bush, but it goes to show that the media will try to utilize any narrative it can, even the more ridiculous ones, in order to push the idea that electing Trump to office would be an irresponsible move on your part.
