Kamala Harris Now Has Virtually No Support from the Black Community According to Poll

After the last round of Democratic debates, California Sen. Kamala Harris took a big hit. That’s no surprise, given the absolute devastation, Hawaii Rep. Tusli Gabbard laid upon Harris both during and after the debates.

According to Quinnipiac, Harris’s popularity, so venerated by Harris herself, has slipped since the debates and most notably from the black community:

  • Biden gets 47 percent of black Democrats, with 16 percent for Sanders, 8 percent for Warren and 1 percent for Harris;

  • Women Democrats go 31 percent for Biden, 24 percent for Warren, 10 percent for Sanders and 7 percent for Harris;

  • Very liberal Democrats go 40 percent for Warren, 20 percent for Sanders, 19 percent for Biden and 7 percent for Harris;

  • Somewhat liberal Democrats go 28 percent for Biden, 20 percent for Warren, 14 percent for Sanders and 10 percent for Harris;

  • Moderate/conservative Democrats go 43 percent for Biden, 11 percent for Warren, 9 percent for Sanders, and 4 percent each for Harris and South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

“Biden survives, Warren thrives and Harris dives as debate number two shakes up the primary,” said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

Harris’s loss of popularity can easily be guessed at. During the recent CNN debates, Harris’s record as something of a corrupt District Attorney in California was brought to light by Gabbard and it did not play well for Harris.

When given the chance to later defend herself, Harris failed to, and instead resorted to cheap blows against Gabbard’s popularity in the polls while Harris touted her own popularity. The move came off as elitist and immature.

Soon after, people began digging into Harris’s arrest reports and found that she had a knack for targeting minorities and over-sentencing for prisoners for cheap labor. This includes putting people behind bars for non-violent drug offenses like marijuana possession.

Soon after the debate, however, California’s Department of Corrections began quietly deleting Harris’s reports off of the website under the excuse of a site redesign.

Between Gabbard’s strike, Harris’s response, and the shady actions to protect Harris’s reputation, it would appear that Harris has shot herself in the foot after having generated so much momentum. It’s also no surprise that her support from the black community is all but vacated her.
