Erick Erickson Suspended from Twitter Over Liz Warren Joke

The Resurgents Erick Erickson has been suspended from Twitter over a joke he made about 2020 Democratic candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

According to the Daily Caller, the tweet Erickson was suspended for was a joke relating to her claims of being a Native American.

“Elizabeth Warren set to introduce the Wrecking American Prosperity Under Marxism, or WAMPUM act, wherein she gives everything away for free,” tweeted Erickson.

Twitter suspended Erickson, claiming it violated its rules under “hateful conduct.”

“I suspect it was an algorithmic ban, but algorithms written by progressives are more likely to consider conservatives problematic,” Erickson told the DCNF. “Of all the things to ban for though. That’s just stupid.”

The suspension will last for 12 hours from Friday morning and was confirmed by a Twitter representative according to the DCNF.

Erickson is just one in a long list of conservatives that have felt the wrath of Twitter’s left-leaning employees and algorithms. Twitter recently suspended an analyst who had uncovered prominent journalists with solid connections to the domestic terrorist group Antifa.

Last year, an undercover video sting showed that Twitter employees were purposefully going after right-leaning users, confirming fears that many on the right were being “shadow banned” on the platform, or having their reach artificially limited by Twitter.

Meanwhile, Twitter has no problem allowing certain things to exist on its platforms, such as Antifa accounts and threats against individuals so long as those threats are directed at people on the right.
