Beto O'Rourke Apologizes to Campaign Staff for Being a "Giant A-hole"

Ted Cruz and the ex-punk rocker turned Democratic congressman trying to upset him, O’Rourke, don’t agree on much. His campaigns are apparently as sad as they are weird.

Failed Texas Senate candidate Robert “Beto” O’Rourke apparently had a bit of a temper during his aforementioned failed Senate campaign where he lost to Ted Cruz.

According to a clip obtained by the Daily Beast of O’Rourke’s upcoming HBO documentary “Running With Beto,” O’Rourke is seen gathering his staff around him and thanking them for their service to his campaign.

“I just feel very, very lucky, and I love you guys more than you’ll ever know,” he said in the video. “I know I was a giant asshole to be around sometimes, and you all never allowed my shortcomings to get in the way of running the best campaign this state has ever seen.”

As he says this, the camera cuts to his road manager Cynthia Cano, who can be seen slightly nodding. According to the Daily Caller, O’Rourke had previously voiced anger against Cano for various problems she created on the campaign trail:

O’Rourke criticizes Cano multiple times “not leaving enough time in his schedule for media interviews, having him be late to campaign events, and not adequately prepping him for those events,” according to the Beast.

Currently, O’Rourke has fallen pretty far from fame since his time in the spotlight while he battled Sen. Ted Cruz (R) for his seat.

According to a New Hampshire poll, Democrat voters are over O’Rourke as he seems to bring in a measly two percent approval vote and falls well near the bottom, being completely overshadowed by heavy contenders such as former VP Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

This is a quick fall, as O’Rourke was ranked third in approval for a long while. However, after strange stories emerged about him, such as his child murder fantasy writing, and broadcasting his dental appointments and haircuts, people have begun to lose interest. Even his CNN town hall attracted few viewers.

It appears that O’Rourke might be done.
