Raheem Kassam, Editor-in-Chief of Human Events, was recently suspended from Facebook over a post he had made 11 years ago concerning the realities of gender.
The news was first broken by OANN host Jack Posobeic, who also noted that this isn’t the first time this has happened. Within the tweet was a picture where it shows Kassam had posted that men couldn’t be women in April of 2008.

Kassam is hardly the first.
It wasn’t long ago that Facebook suspended Turning Point USA’s Candace Owens after pointing out the link between fatherless homes in the black community and Democrat policies. Before that, numerous people were completely banned by Facebook for wrong-think, including Paul Joseph Watson and Laura Loomer.
And this has all happened in the month of May.
More than half of America share the opinions of those like Kassam and Watson when it comes to a myriad of issues, however, Facebook is attacking those who have platforms with gusto, and just in time for the 2020 elections.
One could make a safe bet that the social media networks are attempting narrative control before the elections kick into high gear. They’re currently looking for little to no excuse to be able to silence anyone whose politics don’t match up with their own. Pretty interesting, considering the fact that Facebook was once targeted by the left for election interference.
It would appear that it’s only interference when the left suffers for it.
Arguments could be made that Facebook is attempting to shift the narratives in the left’s favor by suspending those with a platform and have the ability to change to minds. Should the left lose again, it’s highly likely that the left will come after Facebook as the primary disseminator of information. It will roast it over a flame for playing host to right-leaning ideals, which the radical left has now begun to consider extreme if the ideas fall anywhere to the right of Marx.
