What if the Burger King Milkshake Tweet Promoting Violence was Chick-fil-A's?

Right now, the fun thing to do in the UK for leftist’s wishing to remain in the European Union, is to throw a milkshake on right-leaning Brexit politicians wishing to leave the EU.

As such, the latest milkshake attack resulted in Brexit leader Nigel Farage getting hit with a Five Guys banana and salted caramel milkshake. There was an attempt to prevent this by police who even asked the McDonalds near where Farage was holding an event from serving shakes and ice cream.

However, as Sister Toldja covered earlier Monday, on Saturday, Burger King UK took the opportunity to announce that it was still serving milkshakes in that area.

Needless to say, this essentially promoted the idea of committing a violent act against Farage using their milkshakes. Even if BK didn’t intend that, and that very thing in a follow-up tweet…

…it’s hard to get away from the fact that this is what they were playing on. Either they meant to encourage milkshake throwing on Farage, or their social media team is horrifically inept.

Still, despite Burger King’s ginormous corporate no-no, I don’t see anyone raising hell about the idea of a corporation promoting physically attacking someone. A Google search of the word “Burger King” doesn’t even mention this egregious tweet one time, at least at the time of this writing.

No one seems to care. If this had happened to a leftist politician, however, you wouldn’t hear the end of it.

It would appear that the interest level falls drastically for the media if the political attacks go in one direction, but what else is new? It’s infuriating when you consider the fact that all a brand like Chick-fil-A has to do in order to wind up on every journalist’s hit list from here to Bangkok is try open up a new store somewhere.

This is all because, not long ago, Chick-fil-A brass made mention in an interview that they believe in traditional marriage, and haven’t apologized for it. In fact, Chick-fil-A has remained unabashedly Christian since its founding and will continue to do so. This has made it a target of the left, and that’s expected. What’s weird is that the left likes to clutch their collective pearls over Chick-fil-A’s expression of faith by claiming that it promotes violence against the LGBT community.

Every mention of Chick-fil-A’s donations to what they consider “anti-LGBT” organizations is a promotion of hate toward, and the suffering of, gays, lesbians, and transgendered people. They’ll take to Twitter and harp about the fact that in Trump’s America, Chick-fil-A not caving to the LGBT narrative is pushing the idea that it’s okay to hate and practice violence against the LGBT community.

Meanwhile, we’re just enjoying chicken sandwiches and capitalism. There’s no violence here, and no one is hateful of anybody.

As I’ve been pointing out more and more lately, the things that the left gets outraged and shocked over are things they themselves are perfectly happy with.

Chick-fil-A promotes violence through adherence of Christian values, yet Burger King can promote physical assault (I don’t care how it’s carried out) and everyone is cool with that.

Antisemitism against Israel and the support of Hamas is okay, but some Trump supporting idiots with tiki torches get together and this antisemitism is suddenly getting out of control.

Sexism against women is wrong and should never happen cries the left…unless that woman happens to stray from the boundaries the left has given her and then it’s open season.

This is further proof that the left’s unofficial motto remains “It’s okay when we do it.”
