The one thing I appreciate about social media targeting conservatives is that it makes people curious about what they were banned for. People go looking for it and read the message the social media network tried to suppress, causing it to reach further and wider than if they had just let the post exist without molestation in the first place.

Turning Point USA’s Candace Owens was recently suspended by Facebook after she posted an updated that showed the connection between leftist policies and fatherless homes in the black community. It used to be that a black person commenting on things going on within the black community was fine, but it would appear that now Facebook has made itself the authority on what is and isn’t acceptable in regard to the topic.

According to a tweet sent out by Owens, Facebook suspended her for seven days for saying that white supremacy was not as big a threat to America as fatherlessness is. She said the true threat were the leftist policies that create fatherless homes.

“I am censored for posting the poverty rates in fatherless homes,” said Owens.

“Facebook has allowed every post that has falsely and horribly accused [President Trump] of white supremacy to remain on its platform,” said Owens in a second tweet. “But when a black woman begins discussing the TRUTH—which is that liberal policies have systematically ruined black homes—they censor.”

Facebook has been allowing some really nasty things to thrive on Facebook while they’re busy censoring people like Owens for pointing out hard truths. For instance, I covered earlier this month how Facebook had terminated accounts such as Paul Joseph Watson, Alex Jones, and Laura Loomer while they allowed pages that celebrated and released propaganda from terrorist groups such as Hamas.

To be clear, Facebook is apparently fine with things like blatant antisemitism, but don’t discuss the black community’s problem of fatherless homes and why they’re happening.

It’s my hope that perhaps someone on Facebook had a happy trigger finger on the suspension button and this isn’t a sign of things to come. Facebook already banned people for their wrong-think, and not necessarily any action that they committed, while passing it off as a “banning of extremists.”

Owens is not an extremist, though the left has tried to make her out to be. It may come that Facebook bans her page under the same excuse they used to ban Watson, which would signal that they’re working to move the Overton window slowly in consideration of what is and isn’t “extreme.”
