The woman known as “Jane Roe,” who was brutally gang-raped and impregnated, walked out of the Supreme Court having achieved victory in the name of the pro-abortion cause. Years later, Roe came forward with her real name, Norma McCorvey, and expressed something that many probably don’t know.

McCorvey deeply regrets the lies and deception she told that would lead to the deaths of millions of children.

An unearthed ABC video shows a recording of McCorvey in an interview confessing that the rape she had testified that she endured had never happened. What’s more, is something that may shock many in the pro-abortion movement.

McCorvey considers her part in Roe v. Wade to be one of the greatest sins she ever committed.

During the ABC interview, McCorvey described herself as a former drug-addicted, abusive alcoholic who cheated people out of money. However, McCorvey found Christ and turned her life around.

“I’ve done a lot against his teachings, but I think the far greater sin that I did was to be the plaintiff in Roe vs. Wade,” said McCorvey.

McCorvey’s journey to the pro-life side was arduous and full of hardship, but it made her a staunch pro-lifer as Streiff previously covered in February. The moment came when she caught sight of a poster of an embryo.

“Yet something in that poster made me lose my breath. I kept seeing the picture of that tiny, 10-week-old embryo, and I said to myself, that’s a baby! It’s as if blinders just fell off my eyes and I suddenly understood the truth—that’s a baby!” she said.

As the Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles suggests, it’s not likely well known that McCorvey is a born-again Christian who would take it all back if she could. In fact, it’s quite likely many are keeping her story in the background by not discussing her at all, and it’s no wonder. This information would put Roe v. Wade in harsh perspective. It’s a Supreme Court decision that was based on a blatant lie by a woman who, at the time, was a drug-addled self abuser who stole money from people. This is the basis of one of the holiest of landmark decisions to the left.

To be clear, what the left fights tooth and nail for, and has created entire industries around, has its foundations in a falsehood that its central character now regrets immensely.
