WATCH: Dan Crenshaw Sends 2020 Democrat Candidate to the Burn Ward During Budget Hearing

Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw of Texas savagely took down Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton (D) during a Budget Committee hearing Wednesday after Moulton attempted to indirectly attack Crenshaw through a line of questioning to American Enterprise Institute scholar Andrew G. Biggs.

According to the Daily Caller, Moulton had accused Crenshaw of trying to slash benefits for seniors before performing for the cameras with virtue signals and righteous anger, all while using Biggs as a target. Biggs was not cooperating with Moulton in his line of questioning, as Biggs confessed to not having expertise on the subject Moulton was grilling him over. This worked just fine for Moulton, who could trample over Biggs with soundbitable preaching.

It was definitely something you’d see in a “Now This” video clip.

However, once Moulton’s time was up, the floor was given to Rep. Willaim Timmons (R-S.C.), but Timmons immediately handed his time to Crenshaw.

And that’s when the verbal beatdown began.

“Mr. Moulton, I’ll help answer your question since you didn’t want to direct it at me. I don’t think this is as helpful to your presidential run as you might think,” Crenshaw said. “If you have to solve the problem of Social Security in a progressive way, which I think we actually agree on, what is the fairest way to do it? Do you want to increase benefits for millionaires? That’s the essential question.

“And your answer to that is: Yes, you do. Some progressive,” snarked Crenshaw.

Crenshaw then delivered a crushing blow, not only to Moulton’s stance, but to his pride as well.

“It doesn’t make sense, and it’s bad for the economy, but I know you were looking for sound bites for your failing presidential run,” said Crenshaw. “Good luck with that.”
