In true leftist fashion, the Democrats have been utilizing the New Zealand shooting as a way to push the issue of gun control in the United States.

MSNBC’s Ali Velshi is one such individual, who took a moment to push the issue on his show, kicking off the festivities by claiming that “nobody in America has suggested banning any guns.”

Only that’s incredibly false. Democrats have been trying to take our guns away for some time, both on the voter, activist, and lawmaker level.

A perfect example is a fervor to strip America of its gun rights after the Parkland shooting, as marchers held out signs that promoted the removal of our right to bear arms by banning guns.

And this isn’t the only example. Leftist outlets have been advocating for the removal of the 2nd Amendment for years.

Even when it comes to banning certain kinds of guns, leftist politicians aren’t shy about suggesting the removal of semi-automatic weapons. In fact, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif) has made it a part of her 2020 platform.

Here are a few other examples of politicians advocating for taking your guns away, or oversee when you can or can’t have them.

“Confiscation could be an option. Mandatory sale to the state could be an option. Permitting could be an option — keep your gun but permit it.” – Gov. Cuomo.

Then there was an interesting back and forth between Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) and Jason Mattera.

“We’re on a roll now, and I think we’ve got to take the–you know, we’re gonna push as hard as we can and as far as we can,” said Schakowsky.

“So the assault weapons ban is just the beginning?” asked Materra.

“Oh absolutely. I mean, I’m against handguns. We have, in Illinois, the Council Against Handgun… something [Violence]. Yeah, I’m a member of that. So, absolutely,” responded Schakowsky.

The fact is that the left is 100 percent on board with banning all guns in America, and are, in fact, calling for it. The problem comes with the fact that doing such a thing doesn’t work at all, and it definitely wouldn’t work in this nation in particular as I detail in a video.

Furthermore, banning guns would only cause more problems as over 98 percent of mass shootings occur in gun-free zones.

Not only is the left consistently lying by claiming that no one wants to take guns away is a farcical statement pushed by an ideological sect of the American left trying to put you off guard. Don’t buy it.
