Ilhan Omar Gets the Worst Defender Imaginable for Her Antisemetic Comments

Minnesota Democrat, Rep. Ilhan Omar continues to find her way into the news due to her bigotry and racism against Jewish people. Her recent comments have also landed her in hot water, and while Omar definitely isn’t doing much to make the situation better, her recent defender is only making things so much worse.

RedState’s Elizabeth Vaughn has been keeping track of Omar’s antisemitic moves, including retweeting a rabid antisemitic official after her “apology” for her tweets against Israel, as well as appearing with Islamic Relief USA official Yousef Abdullah, who is a known Islamic radical.

But between Omar fleeing CNN reporters about her support for the anti-Israel BDS movement, and complaining that Israel shouldn’t get to exist as a Jewish state, her comments about the American Israel Public Affairs Committee having too much influence in American politics found fans that are willing to support her and her anti-Israel stance.

One, in particular, is the worst she could have asked for, and that’s none other than Women’s March activist and famous antisemite Linda Sarsour.

Sarsour jumped to Omar’s defense by saying that calling out Israel’s influence in the United States is not at all antisemitic, while simultaneously accusing the Jewish people of buying influence in American politics, an old accusation antisemites like to throw around:

AIPAC is a lobbying organization. Here is the definition of lobby from the DICTIONARY:

“a group of people seeking to influence politicians or public officials on a particular issue.”

AIPAC connects donors to campaigns and elected officials. Trying to argue that critiquing the role of AIPAC which let’s be clear is not a Jewish organization, many of its leaders and members are Christian Zionists – is antisemitic is ludicrous.

Antisemitism is REAL. Antisemitism can harm people as we see in hate crimes against visible Jewish Americans. Antisemitism can be lethal as we witnessed in the horrific attack on the Tree of Life Synagogue.

Critiques of the State of Israel ARE NOT antisemitic. Calling out AIPAC is not antisemitic.

Defending antisemitic statements with antisemitic statements from an antisemitic position taken by a proven antisemite are not going to improve your look at all.

Just remember this is the same Sarsour that blamed flagging support for Democrats on the “Jewish Media.” The Linda Sarsour who leads up the Women’s March, which was recently stripped of a human rights award because of their antisemitic stances.

The Democrats need to own up to the antisemitism getting brave enough to show its head above water.
