Andrea Mitchell Wants Kavanaugh Investigated for Rudeness to Congress, Because Apparently They're Royalty

Apparently, CNN’s Andrea Mitchell considers being rude a crime now, especially if it’s against Democratic officials.

While speaking with Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), Mitchell noted that the FBI is still “handcuffed” in its investigation of Kavanaugh, and asked if the FBI would have reason to investigate Kavanaugh if, among other things, he was rude to members of Congress.

Leahy responded that it’d be a mistake to handcuff the FBI and that they have the power to investigate the whole thing.

I’m going to cut straight to the chase and remind Mitchell that we fought a very bloody war so that we could be rude to whoever is in power all we want. The people sitting in the high offices on the hill are only there because the governed chose them to be so. They are employees, not rulers, and so being rude to them is not, in any way, a crime that the Federal Bureau of Investigations is going to spend one iota of time investigating.

If rudeness to politicians was a crime worth investigating, then almost every person at CNN would currently be in jail over their treatment of President Donald Trump and other Republicans. Jim Acosta would be facing multiple life sentences.

Personally, my main worry here is that too many people actually believe as Andrea Mitchell does. That stopping Kavanaugh is so important that they’re willing to sink to the level of suggesting “rudeness” to congressional members and more be a crime. This isn’t just disturbing because it shows the depths desperation will bring the left to, but that it brings them to basically being hopeful for tyrannical action.
