Chris Cuomo Disappointed by Results of His Own Poll After Finding America Wants Due Process Over Mob Justice

CNN’s Chris Cuomo assumed that everyone was of the same mind as him, that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was guilty of the sexual assault charges leveled at him by Christine Blasey Ford, and should be presumed so.

Cuomo decided to reach out to the public with a Twitter poll to reinforce this belief by posting a very oddly worded question that most assume amounts to “do we presume Kavanaugh is innocent, or that Ford is telling the truth.”

“Who gets the benefit of the doubt in Kavanaugh/Ford – presumption of innocence for him in court, what about here? Do you think Ford should be presumed to be telling the truth by coming forward?” asked Cuomo.

He phrased his question choices as “Him,” “Her,” and “Both.” I found it interesting that he identified them by their genders and not their names, but more on that in a moment. The punchline is that he was sorely disappointed with the results.

At the time of this writing, 56 percent of people believe Kavanaugh should get the benefit of the doubt, while 28 percent believe Ford should.

As the Daily Caller highlighted, Cuomo dismissed his own poll before noting that it shows where America’s priorities are.

One Twitter user had a perfect response to Cuomo’s ridiculous stance of assuming guilt before proof of it, representing most of the votes for Kavanaugh.

The poll shows that America, for the most part, still values innocence until proven guilty. The burden of proof that Kavanaugh is an attempted rapist rests on Ford’s shoulders, and Ford is doing herself no favors in helping her claim along by avoiding testifying for so long. Ford’s lawyer, Debra Katz, believes the burden of proof is not with Ford, but this just further solidifies the idea that Ford isn’t telling the truth.

Earlier today, I wrote that this entire episode has exposed a severe case of sexism on the left. Cuomo’s thought that Kavanaugh should be automatically presumed guilty follows the leftist pattern of assuming women who declare themselves as sexual assault victims are the utmost truth we can find in our day and age. That she might be lying is not a thought allowed to permeate through the population because that would be victim blaming. Instead, we should listen and believe. Due process and facts be damned.

All evidence points to Kavanaugh being innocent, yet the left still wants him to hang. The mob demands a sacrifice, and Cuomo believed that he could speak for them. America told him “no,” and thank God for that.
