And here we thought Democrats were all about deeper background checks.
As it turns out, Fox News reported on Monday that 44 Democrats had waived background checks for IT aide, Imran Awan, and his family, who are now under investigation for bank fraud.
The Awan family is most famous for working under then DNC chair, Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and potentially committing a bevy of crimes. Iwan’s wife had previously fled to Pakistan where Imran later attempted to join her. However, he was captured at the airport by police and is now under investigation for bank fraud.

According to Luke Rosiak of the Daily Caller, the required background checks were waived through the use of a loophole that allows them to bypass the check so long as another member of congress vouches for them.
Not running this background check prevented the Democrats from seeing a host of red flags attached to the Awan family, according to Fox Business:
If they had run the background check, the would have found a host of major red flags, including multiple criminal convictions, a $1.1 million bankruptcy, fraud-related lawsuits and 12 cryptic limited liability companies tied to numerous family members.
“As a result, they gave these guys access to everything,” Rosiak told Fox Business, “And the [House Inspector General] determined that they were funneling data to the House network.”
So far, we have Democrats who bypassed background checks using a loophole in the system which opened them up for actual crimes to be a committed by a practiced criminal.
How ironic.
