SJW Anger at Gal Gadot's Tweet on Stephen Hawking's Death Exposes a Disturbing Fact About Them

Hawking, whose brilliant mind ranged across time and space though his body was paralyzed by disease, has died, a family spokesman said early Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Social justice warriors have always been a fascinating breed to me, which is why I cover their actions and talking points quite often.

This is a group of people who get away with some of the most blatantly racist, sexist, and bigoted behavior ever seen in the modern world. Yet, instead of being reputationally tarred and feathered, and their ideas drug into the light for all to see by a media that claims to fight against the aforementioned actions, these people are held up as the arbiters of modern morality.

In fact, they are so lauded by mainstream society that major social media corporations put them in charge of policing the internet. Like South Park’s Eric Cartman, they demand you respect their authoritah and knee-cap anyone who even remotely steps out of line. But I digress.

Outside of being some of the most awful people in the first world though their selective outrage, social justice warriors also concern themselves with how people look at those with disabilities. They will attack anyone who even remotely suggests that having a disease somewhat makes someone less.

They are right in believing the disease doesn’t make someone any less of a valued member of society. The late Steven Hawking is a perfect example of this. However, SJWs have a horrible habit of taking a good train of thought and taking it too far.

As RedState’s Joe Cunningham pointed out, actress Gal Gadot made mention of  constraints when she tweeted out her sympathies at the recent death of Steven Hawking.

“Rest in peace Dr. Hawking,” tweeted Gadot. “Now you’re free of any physical constraints.. Your brilliance and wisdom will be cherished forever.”

Disabilities come in many forms. In the case of the recently passed Hawking, his was amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The disease is terrifying, and essentially stops motor function to your body. Without constant help, you’re a mind trapped in a shell you can hardly move if you can move it at all.

To any normal person, this is a sweet sentiment. It’s nice to think that Hawking is now free of his disability, and is free to do whatever he wishes for the first time in decades. It’s a sentiment that was seen quite often at his passing, including from yours truly.

As Cunningham pointed out, however, this sentiment from Gadot enraged SJWs and attacked the actress for being “ableist,” or viewing Hawking’s sickness as a negative.

Hawking got around this thanks to technological advancements, but at the end of the day he was still a wheelchair bound man who had to rely on the inventions and graces of others to do something as simple as communicate. It’s a constraining type of existence that naturally no one wants to have.

But according to the SJW crowd, merely saying that having ALS is debilitating and horrible is a grave sin worthy of labeling the person who says it as hateful toward those without properly working bodies. This is, of course, madness, but pointing this out will cause an SJW to scream “THIS IS SAFE SPACE” then attempt to kick you into a pit where you’re made to feel like a pariah, and possibly deplatformed.

But this line of thinking is disturbing.

For one, SJWs seem to be arriving at the fact that diseases are somehow a good thing. That instead of acknowledging that diseases hinder and harm, they choose to glorify the disability or disease. The disease itself, and the effects it has on a person are not to be thought of as bad according to them, but should be celebrated and applauded.

For SJWs, having a disease is something to be proud of. You can see this type of behavior most in the dark recesses of Tumblr, where they wear their disabilities like a badge of honor, being morbidly obese is looked at as “healthy,” and depression is treated with reverence.

Should we then stop attempting to find cures for these diseases? Should people with ALS be left to their imprisonment because the social justice community believes this is a great way to exist? Keep in mind that Hawking was a brilliant man who was able to thrive using his mind. He was wealthy and could afford things that a typical person could not. Not everyone with ALS could live the life he does.

With that in mind, would the social justice warriors screaming “ableist” at people like Gadot be okay with coming down with a disease like ALS themselves? If they did, and a cure was available, would they seek it?

I’m pretty certain that despite all the virtue signaling done by the social justice community, only those who are so die hard about social justice would honestly answer that the disease ravaging their bodies would be a boon.

Diseases and disabilities are problems. They often cost a lot to deal with, and hinder the life of the one suffering from it. We seek cures for these diseases and disabilities, or ways to make them as ineffectual as possible, and rightly so. You don’t see people with Bickerstaff syndrome celebrating their debilitating migraines.

Diseases and disabilities do not disqualify you from respect, love, or even being an important member of society. However, acknowledging that the detriment they cause to those who live with them is perfectly okay, and working for a cure is only logical. It’s why we have innumerable foundations that seek to cure diseases left and right.

If SJWs really cared about those with diseases, they would work to cure them of the problem they have instead of glorifying the sickness.

Also, if diseases are so great, I’d like to understand the SJW community’s support for aborting babies with down syndrome.
