Cherokee Woman Obliterates Elizabeth Warren's Claim to Cherokee Ancestry

Senator Elizabeth Warren

A Cherokee woman appeared on Fox News Sunday to make sure everyone knew that Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) was about as Cherokee as the Mayflower despite her claims that she is.

Appearing on “Watter’s World,” Rebecca Nagle of Oklahoma, an actual Cherokee and Democrat, asserted that the Native American community has asked Warren to stop touting her supposed Cherokee ancestry, mostly because she has none.

“As a mixed Native woman, I get to relive the stereotypes that Warren perpetuates every day,” Nagle said. “People ask me what part Cherokee are you? Who in your family was Cherokee? I’m not ‘part-Cherokee’, I am Cherokee.”

“I’m a citizen of a federally recognized tribe,” explained Nagle. “We are a contemporary people. We have vibrant communities. We’re not fractions of imagined Indians that used to exist. So I would love to see Elizabeth Warren do take responsibility for her false claim.”

According to the Daily Wire, Cherokee have looked up their meticulous records and found Warren nowhere in them:

As The Daily Wire reported last week, “Native Americans keep meticulous genealogy records, and Warren’s family isn’t listed in them. In fact, the Globe says, ‘examinations by genealogists of documents including birth, marriage, and death records have shown no conclusive proof of Native American ancestry.'”

“She’s not part of the Cherokee community,” former Cherokee Nation Chief Chad Smith told The Boston Globe. “She hasn’t reached out. She hasn’t come here and participated much.”

Warren is often the target of jokes for her claims of being of Native American ancestry, which she has attempted to use as not only as a political shield but as a way to boost herself for job interviews. She earned the nickname “Pocahontas” from President Donald Trump or variations of it like “Fauxcahontas.”

It’s funny that Warren does this while claiming she’s a social justice champion while looking out for minorities. Apparently, for Warren, using minorities doesn’t qualify as mistreating them.

It should also be noted that Warren isn’t the only person out there claiming she’s one race when she really isn’t. Warren also shares company with a woman famously pretending she was black when she was really white – Rachel Dolezal.
