Another day, another dumb thing spills out of celebrity-in-a-lab-coat Bill Nye.

Nye, who is an unofficial Bishop in the unofficial Church of Climate Change, gave an interview on MSNBC in regards to Trump’s recent controversial climate tweets. During the interview, Nye said states that don’t vote “in a progressive fashion” may find themselves being punished at the hands of those that do for their lack of adherence to oft-called “settled science” of the climate change agenda.

What’s more, Nye seems to believe that this is a perfect way for conservatives to get to see how states’ rights aren’t all they’re cracked up to be.

Nye, not at all sounding like a crazy person, began by claiming that peoples’ disbelief in his religion’s take on climate change is due to interference by the fossil fuel industry.

“Only 40 percent of people in the U.S. think Congress should be addressing this and that’s because certain conservative groups, especially from the fossil fuel industry, have been very successful in introducing the idea that scientific uncertainty, plus or minus two percent, is the same as plus or minus 100 percent,” Nye said.

The MSNBC host did not deign to comment on the fact that “scientific uncertainty,” which noted scientists have expressed the presence of when it comes to climate change, is a basic part of scientific discovery and experimentation.

He continued by suggesting that states like New York and California pass economic sanctions on states with Republican-heavy voters for not going along with the climate change version of fire and brimstone sermons.

“There’s a lot of emphasis from conservatives on what are writ-large states rights,” Nye told MSNBC. “Just watch out, conservatives, if states rights include California, Illinois, New York — these places that, where people voted in a progressive fashion — watch out if all those places start to address climate change and then impose economic sanctions, either overtly or by default, on places that have not embraced the work that needs to be done,” he said.

“Then you’ll end up with this states rights working the other way,” he added.

I encourage blue states to do this very thing. By all means, please take political advice from a failed comedian turned leftist shill who is corrected by actual scientists during debates, and unscientifically believes that gender is a fluid concept. I warn you, Nye’s star is falling, and quickly. This is due in large part to the fact that he is an unscientific propagandist who uses tragedy to promote agendas, and wants detractors jailed.

Also, I would advise blue states not to pick on red states that outclass them in terms of business attractiveness and lower taxes. They just might punish you back, and blue states are already having a hard enough time with all their taxpaying citizens fleeing for the greener grasses of red states.

Remember, Nye isn’t an actual scientist. He plays one on television. He’s also not a political consultant. He just plays one on MSNBC.
