In a recent interview with BeingLibertarian.com, Glenn Beck talked about his feelings on the current Libertarian candidate running for President, Gary Johnson.
As always, Beck was brutally honest, saying that though he was likely going to vote for Johnson, but has reservations about just how Libertarian he is.
You can listen to the interview yourself below.
In starting off on the topic of Gary Johnson, Glenn Beck asserts that while he’s not endorsing anyone, that Gary Johnson is likely the person he’s going to be voting for. He went on to say “I wish I liked him more than I do, I think he’s kind of goofy, and I think he’s bigger government that I care for. When I look at the 3 or 4 people that are running, he’s clearly the best of the lot, but I have some real issues with him.” Beck notes that Gary Johnson doesn’t “play the game of saying it wasn’t so bad” that he honestly didn’t know about Aleppo, but also realizes that it wasn’t the best strategic move to do so. Beck praised Johnson’s honesty, and asserts that Johnson doesn’t pander. Beck also believes that Gary should be in the debates.
Beck saying that he’s likely voting for Johnson is nothing new. He first revealed his likelihood of giving the Libertarian candidate his vote not long ago, though as Beck states in this interview, he’s not necessarily endorsing him.
However, Beck is now one of many adding his voice to the call to allow Gary Johnson into the debates. Johnson has not attained the necessary approval rating of 15% in 5 polls to achieve a spot on the stage next to Trump and Clinton, however, Johnson has become something of a major player within the debates, even taking needed votes from Hillary.
