Your source to mainline mainstream media misdeeds and malarkey.
Given all of the melodrama that took place Saturday night, and the ensuing aftermath, it was inevitable for us to cover the White House Correspondents awards dinner…that almost was. As the festivities were getting under way in the Washington Hilton, a shooter stormed by security - not making it to the banquet hall - and was detained before exacting any violence.
After it has been a steady stream of reports and accusations. And excuses, and deflections. The main takeaway is the press wants it both ways: Heated political rhetoric is a problem, just don’t accuse their own heated rhetoric, thank you. The meandering coverage has been a case of talking around an issue, while trying to point fingers at the same time.
So we have warped coverage from the event, more warped commentary after the event, and the result has been rather dizzying for the uninitiated. Lucky for you, I have marinated in this nonsense, so I bring all the bent thinking for your enjoyment.
Now, crack one open and savor some outmoded media malpractice and misinformation.
