With the word going out this week that Cuba is suffering an island-wide blackout, it has served as a grand backdrop for social activists who are adept primarily at serving their egos. Code Pink has sent a battalion of biddies to the island. Also arriving is the unintentionally ironically-named grifter Hasan Piker, as well as a contingent of similarly-inflated groups from other nations.
As I explained just a couple of weeks ago, the issues in Cuba are far-reaching and have been long in the works. It is farcical enough to lay the blame for all of the strife at the feet of the U.S., but blaming President Trump for generations of commie mismanagement is just too much to swallow, even with three mojitos to chase that down.
Most of these groups are bringing food and supplies with them. That is all well and good, but when you see the size of the crowds descending on Havana, there is a feeling that their “assistance” is becoming a push; after all, you need to supply these suppliers with goods and services while they are servicing the country. Thus begins the impacted thinking of these helpers.
NOW 🇨🇺 We're on our way to Cuba!

Our CODEPINK delegation to the Nuestra América convoy is carrying thousands of pounds of urgently needed humanitarian aid.

The “I’m helping!” vibe is strong with this crew. One of the hypocrisies seen is that while the island is in blackout conditions, these leftist do-gooder dolts are staying in the luxury resorts, where they have power. The contradiction was initially lost on them.
The blackout here in Cuba is eerie and disturbing. Whole streets with zero light, every window dark, and then you see shapes moving in the darkness and realize people are trying to live their lives. I cannot believe how cruel this US policy is. We could stop this.

They are getting the word out that the natives are suffering without electricity, but curiously, these preening Samaritans can charge their phones and broadcast all of their good work. Also, the backing of the regime is seen in providing armed security on site, to ward off the locals protesting these peacocking activists.
Piker suddenly realized that it was not exactly a grand look that he keeps sending selfies from the lobby, where clearly he has wifi and appropriate lighting. He went on to explain that he is MANDATED to stay in these resorts. By the American government. If you believe this balloon juice coming from this impacted influencer, please — by all means — spend more of your unneeded dollars, not on Cuban relief missions, but to spring for his deluxe subscription package.
BREAKING: Hasan fires back at criticism for staying in a five-star hotel during his “humanitarian aid” trip to Cuba—blames U.S. policy.

“The government makes it illegal for us to stay where we want in Cuba. We have to stay in five-star hotels.” 🤣
pic.twitter.com/h2Rj6mHE8Q
Just to explain it for the Piker Heads out there, the exact opposite is true. The U.S. government actually forbids seeking lodging in these luxury hotels, as they are state-run, and you are therefore lending monetary support to the communist leadership. They have even drawn up an extensive list to help you navigate Trivago and make your bookings in a socially responsible manner.
What is also revealing is how these crowds are down island and sucking up what scant resources are available, while allegedly “aiding” those going without. Piker at one point got pissy with, of all entities, AT&T. The company throttled his usage because while he is in Havana, he has been sucking up too much bandwidth.
Add to that these activists commissioned a fleet of buses so they could drink in the scenery of the crippled country and see the oppressed gentry, like they are snapping pics of gazelles at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Let me grasp this mindset: They are there because the country has the barest amount of petroleum, but they can either gas up over half a dozen tour buses, or if those are EVs, they charged them on the island with ZERO electricity. The level of incognizant thinking is off the charts.
Understand the cement-head posturing by the activists in Havana:

They flew in because the country is crippled by a lack of fuel, but they have the means to get a fleet of tour buses operating to go on a socialist safari and take pictures of the blighted natives in Cuba. pic.twitter.com/eUbHBkgZ38
As for the power going out on the island, laying this at the feet of President Trump is dispelled by a simple detail: history. This energy void was taking place during the Obama and Biden terms, yet, funny enough, we never heard any barking about the oppressive administrations “killing the Cubans”. But fear not, you residents of the country, incapable of even pulling up this article: China has arrived to set up a solar panel electrical grid, that is sure to launch this nation into the 1970s!
In the midst of the current energy crisis in #Cuba, the installation of 5,000 solar systems donated by the People's Republic of China is underway across the country. pic.twitter.com/ZjoQCPZ6RC

This shows us all the complete ineffectiveness of the United Nations. While the Cuban people are enduring the worst hardships, here are the Western nations importing the worst of our society, inflicting them with the Insufferable Set, who are afflicting them further while gobbling up resources, in the name of "helping."
Every country involved needs to be brought up in The Hague, forced to deport these half-brained hippies to a penal colony, and made to pay restitution. Now THAT would be a step towards repairing Cuban society.
