There was no shortage of excitable news items to get our press complex worked up into a lather. Donald Trump entertained the Prince of Saudi Arabia, and later had Zohran Mamdani visiting the Oval Office. There was plenty of melodrama surrounding a video a handful of Democrats made encouraging military members to defy official orders that would be considered illegal. Days later, none of them could establish what illegal activity was being ordered.
There were ICE raids conducted in Charlotte that had the press bothered, and all the while, the lingering Epstein Files release news created confusion. The very thing the media had demanded for over the past year was about to happen, but there was not much happiness over the development, mostly because Democrats became the ones on the hook with past connections to the pedophile coming to light. It is time to pull on the hip waders once again and slog through this week’s media mayhem.
THE CONTENDERS
ABC News - Mary Bruce caused a stir and earned praise from journos for her “brave” questioning of President Trump. Of course, this led to notice of her less-than-brave work during the Biden term. On “This Week,” Susan Glasser guided a panel to slam the meeting between Trump and Mamdani, because they were casual and pleasant with each other. Also attempted was bringing on Elissa Slotkin to rehabilitate the flailing of that video. David Muir was back to delivering doom about the White House ballroom construction. The news network gave another dose of PR for parent company Disney, as it helps rebuild L.A.'s position after the fires.
NBC News – Kristen Welker pushed Zohran Mamdani to declare President Trump is a tyrant and fascist. Helps out the Democrats with their trouble earning votes from the “manosphere.” In a piece based entirely on anonymous sourcing, it reported on military members disputing commands in the Caribbean concerning drug boat attacks. The DoW completely disavowed the report. On NBC Nightly News, they cheered a North Carolina church hosting seminars to counter ICE detention efforts in the area. In another report, the granddaughter of author E.B. White said he would not approve calling the immigration sweeps "Charlotte’s Web."
Politico – Dasha Burns tried to impugn Trump over the vote to release the Epstein Files, even as she admitted in a sentence that there was no evidence. When the White House announced that a Russia-Ukraine peace deal was close, it was speculated that this was done to distract from the Epstein Files. In another report, they also had to admit the chance of Trump being found guilty of a crime in the files is “unlikely,” but still saw a need to slander him: “But it’s important to separate two very important concepts: criminal misconduct versus highly embarrassing or evilly, morally-offensive conduct.”
Public Broadcasting Service – In a segment on the aftermath of the Dobbs decision, the network promoted the underground networks providing abortion pills. The Washington Week show was focused on slamming Trump for insulting reporters. Jeffrey Goldberg also hosted a panel decrying Trump’s response to the Democrats who put out a video encouraging military resistance.
THE WINNER

CNN
The network earned bottom honors on the strength of offering itself as the rehab outlet for Democrats in need of image repair.
Stacey Plaskett was brought on to fix the revelation that she had been in close contact with Jeffrey Epstein.
Hakeem Jeffries next came on to desperately spin the revelation that his fundraising had once appealed to Jeffrey Epstein for donations and a private dinner.
Then Jasmine Crockett had to be brought on to make excuses for her speech on the House floor, accusing Republicans of taking Epstein money, when she and her staff did not realize there were other people with that name – and did not realize some of the donations were made after Epstein’s death.
Jake Tapper held Trump accountable for not properly condemning Tucker Carlson after he interviewed Nick Fuentes. This is the same Tapper who once platformed Richard Spencer on his show, to come on and slam Trump.
Tapper also stated that Trump wanted to execute the group of Democrats encouraging military treason.
Kate Bolduan attempted verbal gymnastics, trying to avoid a lawsuit while also directly implying Trump was guilty of something involving Jeffrey Epstein.
Anderson Cooper expressed disgust that Trump used an insult towards a reporter. (This is the same Cooper who referred to a Republican as a part of the male anatomy.)
Editor's Note: The mainstream media continues to deflect, gaslight, spin, and lie about President Trump, his administration, and conservatives.
