In a lighter episode, we are taking a look at just some of the daft positions and behavior recently seen from the press. We start in the nation's capital, where there is still plenty of distemper over the will to fight crime. Peter Baker of the New York Times has been particularly off balance on the matter. Then there is Jon Karl displaying all of the derangement, as he blames Donald Trump for the Democrats falling prey to taking the wrong side on every issue.
The Cracker Barrel rebranding-then-debranding has been amusing, and the press just has to weigh in and make it political. MSNBC tries blaming it all on “MAGA snowflakes” and promptly trips over their past outrage over a blue jeans ad, and CNN clowns themselves when reminded the Democrats, as a party, hated the move.
At Semafor, they were upset to find Republicans using a Democratic blaming tactic successfully, and then we have an amusing clip from the Associated Press, as one reporter attempts to record the audio reading of her own article and proves to be out of her depth.
Now, crack one open and savor some outmoded media malpractice and misinformation.
