This past weekend, there were “No KIngs Day” protests across the country (and, stupidly, even in London, U.K.), and the press was very eager to tell the nation what a significant event this turned out to be. What they were unable to do at the same time is explain exactly what had been accomplished. By Sunday, we had exactly the same number of kings, which is zero, so maybe they are bragging about preventing a coronation???
The images and commentary of these protests were as unimpressive as one may imagine. Rachel Maddow tried to get in on mocking a Florida sheriff over prior comments when, in truth, he managed to keep his county from experiencing anything approaching the mayhem seen in Los Angeles.
Then we look into how flags continue to be a focal point in the press, and the subject continues to be a form of embarrassment for them. Seriously, gang, it is time for you to wave the white flag on this particular issue.
Now, crack one open and savor some outmoded media malpractice and misinformation.

I am talking about the flag poles, of course.
Two "beautiful" ones will be installed on the White House grounds today. Tapered. Rust proof. Rope inside the pole!
