Seriously, at this stage, it should only become news when the Democrats manage to get something done correctly. They have been so consistent in their failed messaging, policy, execution, and basic common sense that fiascos are simply expected from them. We saw this on display Tuesday when they attempted to troll Republicans with the most basic of social stunts, and every aspect of it was a cringe-inducing failure.
When you cannot get something as basic as "Taco Tuesday" done right, you are in severe decline.
For months now, there has been this attempt by the Dems to use the term “TACO” as a deeply cutting insult on President Trump. That the standard reaction to this, when heard by most people, has been “Now WHY are you saying that?!” explains everything about this failure. And yet, even as Dems are scolded with “Fetch won’t happen” reality, they continue to hammer this flaccid insult.
For the uninitiated (that is, “those not perpetually online and addicted to political rhetoric”), TACO is the acronym for “Trump Always Chickens Out.” It originated with Robert Armstrong’s newsletter with The Financial Times, referencing the fluid application and retraction of Trump’s tariffs. It had been used primarily in investment circles, but lately it has jumped to Democrat and media applications, largely due to the New York Times.
So, as it is desperately attempted to be shoehorned into the lexicon, all you need to see how much of a failure this pre-fab viral attempt has been is that the perpetually incompetent Eric Swalwell got in on the activity.

Yet, the Democrats, undeterred by all of the evidence of this failing to make an impact, keep at it. As Rusty Weiss reported Tuesday, those four-levels-below-clever Dems decided it would be a rollicking insult to have a taco truck arrive in front of the offices of the Republican Party – and hand out free tacos! Yes, you can just see the administration scrambling with how to deal with such a frontal assault.
As author and Axios scribe Alex Thompson is admitting the incestuous connections to the Dems in the press with reporting on Joe Biden, his co-worker Andrew Solender had no qualms displaying his own devotion. Andy excitedly delivered the “SCOOP” on this taco truck event, clearly on someone’s speed-dial list at the DNC. Designed to be trolling the GOP from noon until 2:00 p.m., the Democrats' scalpel-like insult crumbled more than a shell from a Taco Bell sample forgotten in the basement for a week.

For starters, they could not even manage to rent a full taco truck for this effort. They had to go with a taco trailer, from Vagabound Tacos, out of the nearby Virginia area.
Next, they could not set up in front of their desired target, so they had to resort to parking more than a block away from RNC headquarters. The impact was certainly blunted by the reality of being stationed on a side street, beside St. Peter’s Church.

As for the desired insult this delivered to the Republicans, it also appears to have delivered less burning than a jalapeño. Possibly less than black pepper, for that matter. Once ensconced in its ferreted-away spot, mainly Democrat staffers tipped off on the location flooded the zone for a free lunch, and as a result, the tow-behind restaurant ran out of supplies before one hour elapsed.
This is the kind of thing that should have at least been a layup for those involved, and instead, the result of this stunt went about as well as a free food giveaway at a fast food joint closed by the health department. The Democrats' perfect record of failure continues.
