The case brought by Navy veteran and private contractor Zachary Young showed that the network moved forward with a story some recognized as lacking in facts, as well as communications showing that they were acting in a malicious fashion in targeting Young.
To go along with that, Jim Acosta, in trademarked oblivious fashion, gave a speech on air declaring the importance of newsmakers like himself – the kicker being his insistence they are not the enemy of the people. There was also John Berman earlier in the week declaring that Donald Trump would have been convicted in the Washington, D.C., case had he not been elected president. That would be the case that was never brought to trial, let alone finding Trump guilty – but sure, “convicted.”
