There has been yet another attempt made on Donald Trump’s life, and yet again we see the press acting in a disturbing fashion in their reactions. Their deflection is to push responsibility onto Trump, Vance, and the Republicans because this reflects poorly on the left and the press. Who has been delivering inciteful charges against Trump for months? On MSNBC alone, we regularly hear how Trump is a fascist, a Nazi, will harm democracy, will end elections, and/or will be arresting opponents and executing some.
But it's Trump who needs to tamp down the dangerous rhetoric.
Outlets have suggested he brought this on himself, that Republicans are pouncing and seizing, and that the shooter is a complete cipher and no one can know his political leanings. Yeah, except this guy was a fixture in the press last year.
Also there is a follow-up on debate moderator Linsey Davis where she shows she actually prepared to trap Trump at the debate, a CNN security expert tries fact-checking Trump but is debunked by her network, and Kamala finally gave a press interview…and she should not have done so.
Now, crack one open and savor some mainstream media malpractice and misinformation.
