Once his name hit Robert Kennedy’s Vice President pick shortlist, Tapper came out with the long knives. Not only did he dig up a decade-old (and lightly sourced) story, but when Rodgers completely refuted it Tapper pretends he did not do so. It is a strange detour for the newsman.
