The best way to see just how severe this problem of Biden’s condition has become is to look to a curious source – Bill Kristol and the broader Never-Trump universe. Kristol came forward to volunteer that after witnessing Biden’s calamitous presser on Thursday night, February 8, he dashed to the internet to research how to replace Biden on the Democrat ticket. That is how palpable this panic is setting in on the left.
Next Kristol offered up an interview with longtime Democrat operative James Carville, and even as he was alluding to the need to switch Joe out, he went so far as to insist on a stable of backbench-quality replacements - with laughable entrants such as Gretchen Whitmer and Raphael Warnock - constituting the strongest field he has seen in politics. Seriously.
There is so much on display here, from the complete fealty to the Democrats this once stalwart conservative displays to the tangible career desperation he senses as he was fully behind the push for Joe Biden and is now branded by the inept nature of the man. The coming campaign is going to be fascinating to watch, if only for the reactions and contortions made by this crowd of fully compromised pundits.
