Your source to mainline mainstream media misdeeds and malarkey.
Unintentionally we have been compelled to continue with coverage of the dissolving media industry. After the last episode, where we covered the Los Angeles Times layoffs and other media maneuvers, this week we saw a continuation of the mayhem. There was both the fallout from those layoffs – with journalist obliviousness on full display - as well as other outlets joining in the practice of trimming staff for the sake of media survival.
Another odd development has been the practice of journos walking off the job in protest of looming staff cuts, only to lead to the outlets cutting their staff. What is on display is a clear delusion from these journalists, where they bemoan the conditions leading to the dismissals, but few if any are willing to look hard at the causes of this harsh reality. There has been growing cynicism from their audiences and customer flight is rampant in the face of the tough economic conditions they continue to deny.
Nothing is going to improve until a sober analysis of the problems takes place.
Now, crack one open and savor some mainstream media mayhem and malpractice.

We learned the LA Times literally had ethnic caucuses in its newsroom.

Business Insider displays the problems, claims the economy is booming, and then layoffs hit the newsroom.
Nothing is better than watching entitled, untalented, leftist journalists strike their way to unemployment.
