Lie-Able Sources Holiday Podcast: The Press Delivering Lumps of Coal in Their Attempt to Ruin Christmas

Your source to mainline mainstream media misdeeds and malarkey.

It is Christmas, the time to revel in happiness, ebullience, and merriment — what most of us would call “Joy.” But for many in the press, this is a time to be contrarian, contemptuous, and basically miserable. Whenever there is a collective enjoyment over something taking place, you can count on some journalists arriving with their version of a hectoring lecture on why we are wrong for enjoying ourselves.

I present these examples as a lesson of sorts on how not to conduct our lives and also to find amusement in the need by these professionals to come forth and expose their aversion to joy and satisfaction.

There is a faction who have been made to feel uncomfortable about a holiday classic from the 1940s; yes, they have tried to cancel a song. We also get told that crossword puzzles are racist, and there was a race-based holiday party for Boston politicians that USA Today seemed to support. It turns out white Christmas celebrants “pounced.”

NBC News does a deep exploration of the need for multicultural Santas, a possibly noble effort that creates a new set of challenges, and for our favorite: The AP tells us all about the racist Christmas plants we hatefully display this holiday season.

Now, pour some spiked eggnog and savor some mainstream media holiday mayhem and malpractice.
