How insane is 2025? A 17-year-old allegedly murdered a fellow student and managed to parlay that into almost half a million dollars in donations, and what he did with the money will shock and disgust you.
As RedState reported, Karmelo Anthony confessed to stabbing and killing Austin Metcalf after an altercation at an athletic event. According to witnesses, Anthony came into Metcalf's tent and refused to leave when requested. Anthony then "dared" someone to touch him. When Metcalf attempted to escort him out of the tent, he was stabbed to death.

In a sign of just how depraved society has become, the case immediately became a racial issue despite Anthony, who is black, being the one who allegedly murdered Metcalf. Donations poured into Anthony's GoFundMe campaign for his "legal defense," and posts like this were made calling for "justice," not for the boy who was killed, but for the alleged killer.

This moment is a reminder that a community united can never be divided.
The journey ahead is long, but today—we celebrate a victory for justice, for family, and for the power of people coming together to protect our youth.

Now, we know what Anthony and his family did with a good portion of the money they received. According to a new report, they bought a new car and moved into a $900,000 home in a gated community. No, I'm not kidding. They took money intended for his "legal defense" and hit the upgrade button with it.
The Texas teen accused of fatally stabbing a high school football star at a track meet allegedly lives in a $900K home inside a luxurious gated community — despite requesting a judge lower his $1 million bond because of financial difficulties, according to a report.
Karmelo Anthony, 17, is shacked up with his family at the pricey home inside the gated community of Richwoods in Frisco, Texas, after he was released from jail Monday on a reduced $250,000 bond for allegedly killing Austin Metcalf earlier this month, the Daily Mail reported.
The home — where rent is estimated to be $3,500 a month — had a white Suburban, a black Acura, and a third sedan in the driveway on Tuesday, according to the outlet.
As an avid follower of the political world and everything that entails, including cases like this, I've seen some crazy grifts in my time. But a family using their alleged murderer son to raise half a million bucks, only to turn around and use that to buy a new car and move into a fancy house is next-level stuff. It's the kind of grift most can only dream of, and they pulled it off. The lack of shame is astounding, and to do this while attempting to paint Anthony as the victim after he confessed to killing someone is the degeneracy that would make Hunter Biden blush.
Our culture is sick, or at least some significant part of it is. How in the world did we get here? And to see people still defending this, claiming it was just his "community" supporting him while Anthony and his family blow the cash on lavish appointments is disturbing. What's worse is that I bet the donations will still continue to come in.
