President Joe Biden was in not-so-rare form on Sunday as his senility continues to worsen. In an embarrassing moment, he called someone up on stage to sing "Happy Birthday" to them. That's when things went all sorts of wrong, and believe it or not, this is just a warm-up for what happened afterward.
The good news? We've only got a few more weeks left of this insanity.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the President of the United States. I'm just trying to help here, but maybe his handlers shouldn't be letting him sing "Happy Birthday" to people if he can't even say their names. Who am I kidding, though? His handlers have long since given up trying to hide what has become obvious to all. The current president is senile. Everyone knows it, and while we justifiably laugh at moments like this, it's what is happening behind the scenes that truly concerns me and so many other Americans.
But as I said, that senior moment was just the warm-up. After his speech, Biden was confronted by reporters. He responded by cussing them out.
Biden, who said last week that Trump needs to learn “decency”, snaps at reporters at the White House:

“I might be the oldest president, but I know more world leaders than any one of you have ever met in your whole goddamn life!” pic.twitter.com/qdsdlwUlZM
Is that a threat to democracy? Because I've been assured that verbally abusing the press is a threat to democracy. Surely, Jim Acosta and John Harwood will be wringing their hands over this, right? Remember, this is the same guy who recently lectured Donald Trump on "decency" during a eulogy for the now-deceased former President Jimmy Carter.
Regardless, if you've been reading my writings for any length of time, you know that I try to go deeper than just mockery, as deserved as it is given Biden's outburst. What does it tell us that the outgoing president believes simply meeting "more world leaders than any one of you" gives him credibility? It tells us that Washington is riddled with meaningless credentialism, whereby politicians are granted "expertise" simply by virtue of existing.
Biden has been around for a long time. Thus, in his mind, and the minds of many Democrats and the national press, he must know what he's talking about. Is that true, though? That's rhetorical because we all know it's not true. Biden is perhaps the worst foreign policy mind in American history when you consider the length of his tenure within the federal government. While his deadly Afghanistan withdrawal will go down in history as one of the country's darkest moments, that is just one of many insanely bad decisions he has made, from advising against killing Osama Bin Laden to his more recent insanity dealing with Hamas.
Credentialism has destroyed the federal government. It has turned it into a jobs program for mediocrities who leech off of taxpayers for decades at a time, never having to deliver anything positive for the American people. Joe Biden is the epitome of that culture, and it is somewhat poetic that he'll be leaving Washington as a disgrace.
