Panic is building on the left over the possibility that Muslim-American voters will tank Kamala Harris in key swing states like Michigan and Wisconsin, and CNN has gone code red over the issue.
During a recent roundtable on Abby Phillip's show, foreign affairs analyst Reena Ninan provided an on-the-ground report after speaking to people in the "Arab-American business sector." According to Ninan, she did not find a single Muslim voter willing to vote for Kamala Harris. Not one.

NINAN: The business sector in the Arab-American community, and I was really surprised this week to get an earful to hear them say that they would much rather either vote a third party, not vote at all, or vote for Donald Trump. And, I'm telling you, it's not obviously a significant sample size, but I can not find one Arab-American within my social circle in business or personally who have said they will vote for Kamala Harris.
PHILLIP: Wow
NINAN: When you look at the polling, it seems sort of neck and neck. What they are saying, and this is not a Donald Trump campaign line, that Tiffany Trump's father-in-law, who is a Lebanese businessman, has been successful in kind of converting and talking to people, to explain why Trump would be better. Even with the Muslim ban, even with everything else that has happened. They feel that they don't have any political clout, they don't have any political operation. The only political power they have is their vote.
I think my favorite part of that is everyone sitting around, mouth-gaping, unwilling to accept that no one cares about the "Muslim ban," which never actually existed. I guess mainstream press propaganda doesn't travel quite as far as it used to. Still, what Ninan is saying is dire for Democrats. There are hundreds of thousands of Arab-American voters in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, and with all those states likely to come down to a percentage point, Harris can't afford to lose a core demographic. Trump doesn't even have to win a significant portion of those voters, as long as they go vote for Jill Stein or sit at home.
Of course, all of this is caused by Harris' stance on the war in Gaza. While she has been a staunch critic of Israel and repeatedly called for a "ceasefire," she also hasn't shown outright support for Hamas. That is all it takes to make the "pro-Palestinians" despise you, and Democrats are doing their best to cope with the situation. They are desperately trying to convince themselves that these voters will come home when push comes to shove, hoping that they can say "Trump" enough to change the calculus. To that assumption, I ask: Have they ever met a "pro-Palestinian"?
We are talking about single-issue voters who do not care one bit about the rest of the left-wing orthodoxy. The "Palestinian people" could have had peace and prosperity for decades now. Instead, they've chosen the most self-destructive path imaginable. Does anyone think they care about Kamala Harris' presidential campaign? On the contrary, your average "pro-Palestinian" would burn their own house down for spite.
In short, this is a huge problem for Democrats, and CNN is right to be freaking out. Harris doesn't really have a path to winning back these voters, and with just weeks before the election, the time is running short anyway.
