Leave it to "The View" to produce one of the most disgusting rants I've ever heard, and if you are familiar with the ladies who sit at the table, you won't be surprised by who delivered it.
Oddly enough, it appears that Whoopi Goldberg was smart enough to try to avoid the garbage that was spewed, but Sunny Hostin overrode her live on-air. Because who else, right? The comments came during a segment called "Hot Topics," with Hostin saying, "I know you said we weren't going to talk about it" before launching into this tirade attacking Brittany Mahomes:
This woman just said some pretty unthinkable stuff. Brittany Mahomes and her husband should DEMAND a retraction and apology. pic.twitter.com/4ESNZYnzax

HOSTIN: We'll speak to more women about the character of Donald Trump and will turn them away, but to your initial point, and I know you said we weren't gonna talk about it, but I was. It just seems to me since she is in an interracial marriage, she should have known that to support a racist is problematic. Her children are biracial, and her family is one of the families that in the 70s could not have lived in any of Donald Trump's buildings. So, it just seems to me that maybe she's just not that politically savvy or maybe that she's just not read in, but it's problematic.
FARRAH: Well, granted, all we know is that she liked a Trump post, she hasn't stated that she supported him but that's fair to interpret that she may have, but we don't know that she's a supporter.
I'm going to get to Hostin because she's an absolute lunatic, but what Alyssa Farah does there is almost as bad. She just listened to that hateful bile being pumped out by her co-host, and instead of trying to offer any reasonable pushback, she starts mumbling about how Brittany Mahomes might not be a Trump supporter. Remember, this is the supposed "conservative" at the table. Even as someone who is anti-Trump, Farrah had a chance to bring some sanity to the discussion and point out that no one at that table has the right to attack someone's marriage over disconnected political assumptions.
Which brings me to Hostin. Who the heck does this vile woman think she is? Patrick and Brittany Mahomes, by all accounts, have a normal, healthy marriage. For anyone to try to sow discord into it, much less in such a public way, by making false accusations of racism is so disgusting that it's hard to fathom. Liking a Trump tweet does not make someone a bigot, and Brittany Mahomes is not "problematic" because she did so. Her marriage is her business, not Sunny Hostin's.
As to Hostin's claim that Patrick and Brittany Mahomes could not have lived at "Donald Trump's buildings" in the 1970s, that's based on a 2016 claim by The New York Times that cited anecdotes from activists and a DOJ lawsuit that ended in a consent decree with no admission of guilt. More importantly, though, Donald Trump did not own the buildings at the time (he was still barely out of college) nor set the rental policies that were in effect, something the Times admitted in their investigation.
There is no evidence Trump is racist, and there is plenty of evidence to the contrary, from both his time as a businessman and his political career. Being against open borders is not racist. Do you know who is a racist and bigot, though? Sunny Hostin.

She has often gone on diatribes making extremely hateful and discriminatory assumptions about people. At one point, Hostin went so far as to suggest WNBA phenom Caitlin Clark is only popular because she has white privilege and isn't gay. Hostin has also excused the harassment of Jews on college campuses following the October 7th attacks.
Keep in mind that "The View" is operated under the ABC News banner. This is the kind of trash they are putting on air, and they should be called out for it. The network owes Brittany Mahomes and her family an apology.
