BRUTAL: John Kirby Trips All Over Himself Trying to Defend Biden's Phone Call With Netanyahu

Joe Biden officially abandoned Israel on Thursday during a phone call with Benjamin Netanyahu, conditioning further American support on stopping civilian casualties while demanding an immediate ceasefire. If Israel were to oblige, it would represent a full-scale capitulation to Hamas, which would be able to regroup and retain its power while not even having to release the hostages.

If that all sounds familiar, it just so happens to be what Jill Biden recently demanded of her husband behind the scenes. Yes, the president's wife is apparently running the country.

According to a new report, while being confronted at a Ramadan event by a pro-Hamas supporter, the president revealed that his wife has been seething behind the scenes and demanding that her husband "Stop it, stop it now" concerning Israel's war against Hamas.

Given the controversial nature of the administration's policy change, John Kirby was brought into the briefing room so Karine Jean-Pierre wouldn't be left to her own devices. Unfortunately for the White House, the relief pitcher didn't exactly cover himself in glory.

This has been a common theme among all the emotional outbursts coming from the Biden administration. It's very easy to tell Israel that they must change tactics. It's much harder to express what those alternative tactics would be. How exactly is Israel supposed to defeat Hamas, a goal the White House claims to still support, if they stop fighting Hamas?

When pressed further, Kirby once again had no real answer.

Is he taking lessons from Kamala Harris? This is amateur-hour stuff from the "adults in the room." They are so desperate to shore up their far-left flank that they are taking positions they can't even begin to explain or defend.

That wasn't the end of it, though. Kirby then tried to claim that throwing Israel under the bus doesn't represent a break in the White House's pledge of "unwavering" support.

No, both can't be true. That makes no sense at all. Israel's goal is to finish off Hamas so that an attack like the one on October 7th can't occur again. The administration can't support them in that goal while also taking policy positions that run counter to it.

What a mess this is. The current president is abandoning one of our closest allies to appease radicals in Michigan while Americans are still being held hostage. Calling for a ceasefire without conditioning it on the hostages being released is crazy, but that's where we are.

I almost feel sorry for Kirby. Given some of his comments in the past, it seems unlikely that he agrees with Jill...I mean Joe Biden's move here. Yet, he has to go out there and defend this nonsense, pretending that up is down with a straight face. I said "almost," though, because he has the option of resigning. If he won't do that, then he deserves to be embarrassed behind the podium.
