Democrats Are in Full-Scale Revolt Over Biden's Accurate Description of Laken Riley Murderer

It didn't matter if Joe Biden took to the podium during Thursday night's State of the Union and drooled for an hour, Democrats were always going to proclaim it the greatest speech of all time. When it turned out to be the most unhinged and angry example of a tradition the country should scrap with prejudice, there was no chance some actual honesty was going to punch through.

That's what makes the reaction to Biden using the word "illegal" to describe Laken Riley's murderer so astonishing. In a speech filled with falsehoods and misleading deflections, for that brief moment, the president managed to say something true, even if he had just pronounced "Laken" as "Lincoln."

Naturally, Democrats are in a full-scale revolt over it. As RedState reported, Nancy Pelosi chastised the president, and the list of detractors is growing substantially.

Rep. Joaquin Castro is not happy about Biden parroting MTG in saying Laken Riley was "killed by an illegal."

Perhaps Rep. Chuy Garcia can explain what being an immigrant has to do with being an illegal immigrant. They are distinctly different groups, as evidenced by the addition of the word "illegal" in front of one of them. It's like getting mad at the word "criminal" because we are all human beings. Descriptors exist to provide much-needed context, and "illegal" is a proper description of someone who breaks America's laws to cross the border illegally.

Rep. Joaquin Castro took things further, claiming Biden's rhetoric was "dangerous." Given I can find no record of him ever mentioning Laken Riley's name, I can only assume he finds accurately describing an illegal alien more harmful than that illegal alien brutally murdering an innocent young college student. Yes, Democrat priorities are really that screwed up.

Then there was Rep. Ilhan Omar, who used the same tired (and false) line that "no human being is illegal" to push back on Biden.

Let me be clear: The Venezuelan illegal immigrant who crushed Laken Riley's skull is absolutely "illegal" and should not have been in the United States in the first place. Omar's talking point is ridiculous and obtuse. It's also morally bankrupt. Like Castro, she has never actually mentioned Laken Riley's name, but the moment someone says something she doesn't like about a literal murderer, she's on the ball with a defense of him.

With all that said, don't take my writings as a defense of Biden. He deserves every bit of this. These are the lunatics he courted and empowered. He built a coalition of some of the worst people in America, and watching them go after him is supremely satisfying.
