In a move that mimics parody, White House "interns" have released an open letter slamming the current president. According to NBC News, which viewed the letter, the "more than 40 interns" accused Joe Biden of ignoring their pleas for a ceasefire between Israel and Gaza. 

Further, the letter proclaims that the interns will "no longer remain silent on the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people." Of note is that there is no genocide occurring of the Palestinian people.  

A group of White House interns joined the growing list of administration officials applying internal pressure to President Joe Biden to call for a permanent cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, sending him a letter late Tuesday that accuses him of having "ignored" the "pleas of the American people."

The letter, first shared with NBC News and addressed to Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, is supported by more than 40 interns who work in the White House and other executive branch offices, according to the text. 

"We, the undersigned Fall 2023 White House and Executive Office of the President interns, will no longer remain silent on the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people," the interns wrote. 

The first thing I think when reading that is how helplessly spoiled and entitled these clowns are. Israel is a sovereign nation. Even if Biden called directly for a ceasefire, it would make no difference because the United States does not control Israeli military action. These pathetic interns actually believe that by simply saying something, they can force a country on the other side of the globe to comply. 

That's not how it works, and Israel is rightfully not going to stop until Hamas is destroyed. Therefore, if these interns really want a ceasefire, they should be calling for the terrorists to give it up. They aren't doing that, though, because they are pro-Hamas, as are most of the "protesters" we see in the streets. They do not care about "oppression" outside of blaming it on Jews. 

Regardless, someone should let these interns know that there already was a ceasefire. Hamas broke it by committing a terrorist attack in Jerusalem, gunning down civilians at a bus stop. They also broke it by refusing to release all the women and children, which was part of the original deal to keep the ceasefire in place. Lastly, they broke it by launching a rocket barrage prior to the resumption of Israeli operations. 

What these interns really mean when they call for a ceasefire is for Israelis to stop firing and go ahead and die already. They know that Hamas and the broader Palestinian population have no intent to live peacefully with Israelis. Destruction and death are their goals, and they don't hide the ball on that front. It is only pampered Western liberals who keep hearing "secular utopia" every time a Hamas leader says they are going to keep killing Jews. 

Here's a bit more of the letter.

“We heed the voices of the American people and call on the Administration to demand a permanent ceasefire,” the interns wrote. “We are not the decision makers of today, but we aspire to be the leaders of tomorrow, and we will never forget how the pleas of the American people have been heard and thus far, ignored.”

If they are the aspiring leaders of tomorrow, then we should all make it a priority to ensure they never get there. A real leader would fire every one of these insubordinate hacks and shut down their career advancement. Biden isn't that, though, so I expect him to ignore this or even praise their bravery for speaking up.
