The House Oversight Committee, which is currently investigating the Biden family's influence-peddling scheme, has uncovered a direct payment made to President Joe Biden.

In the past, the president had challenged those investigating him by asking "Where's the money?" According to Rep. James Comer, they've found some, and the paper trail isn't ambiguous.

COMER: This summer Joe Biden said, " Where's the money?" Well, we found some. We're still digging into evidence subpoenaed from bank accounts belonging to Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, and James and Sarah Biden, the brother and sister-in-law of the president.

A document that we're releasing today raises new questions about how President Biden personally benefited from his family's shady influencing-peddling of his last name and their access to him. Bank records obtained by the House Committee on Oversight have revealed a $200,000 payment from James and Sarah Biden to Joe Biden in the form of a personal check. Here's some important context about this check we've obtained in our investigation.

In 2018, James Biden received $600,000 in loans from Americorp, a financially distressed and failing rural hospital operator. According to bankruptcy court documents, James Biden received these loans quote "based upon representations that his last name, Biden, could open doors and that he could obtain a large investment from the Middle East based on his political connections."

On March 1st, 2018, Americorp wired a $200,000 loan into James and Sarah Biden's personal bank account, not their business bank account, and then on the very same day, James Biden wrote a $200,000 check from this same personal bank account to Joe Biden. James Biden wrote this check to Joe Biden as a quote "loan repayment."

That is a damning revelation that shows Biden was not just a bystander in his family's influence-peddling operation, which produced millions of dollars from nefarious dealings over several years. In this case, James Biden made a false promise of political influence to a failing hospital operator in order to secure $600,000 in loans. Once the first $200,000 was sent, it was immediately paid out to Joe Biden from James Biden's personal bank account. Where's the money? There's the money.

The defense here will be that James Biden was simply paying off a legitimate loan he had received from Joe Biden. That leaves far too many unanswered questions, though, and there's no reason to assume the best-case explanation. What was the loan for? What were the terms of the loan?  Ask yourself, what better way would there be to shovel money to Joe Biden than to do it under the guise of mysterious loan repayments?

Regardless, what has now been proven is that Joe Biden directly benefited from the corrupt actions of his family. Contrary to past claims, there was no wall in place regarding financial dealings.

House GOP investigators need to keep connecting the dots. If the check written to Joe Biden was a loan repayment, then there will be a bank record showing the original loan being paid out to James Biden. If that doesn't exist, that will be a major piece of evidence suggesting what actually happened here.
