As RedState reported, Virginia State House candidate Susanna Gibson, a Democrat, found herself in hot water on Monday after porn videos she produced and uploaded online were resurfaced. 

Gibson placed the videos on a site called Recurbate where she collected followers and asked them for money in exchange for "customizing" the performances. Making the matter more confusing, the videos were reportedly put online after she announced her candidacy.

The 40-year-old nurse practitioner hosted more than a dozen of the live romps with her husband on the platform, which was then posted to a publicly accessible archive on the website Recurbate in September 2022 after she declared her candidacy, the Washington Post first reported.

The unconventional candidate had more than 5,770 Chaturbate followers, whom she repeatedly pressed for more “tokens” in exchange for certain acts in “private” showings — adding that she was “raising money for a good cause.”

After the news broke, accusations of "revenge porn" immediately started to fly. Virginia Democrat Senator Louise Lucas led the charge, deciding to simply lie about what had transpired.

If you aren't aware of Lucas, she's a renowned race-baiter who has been fighting an ongoing war against Gov. Glenn Youngkin since his election. She's also a deeply unserious and dishonest person.

Since she's confused, I'll explain how this works. When someone makes a series of videos and voluntarily puts them on the internet, even going so far as to make money off them, they can't then be "leaked." That's like saying that Monday's NFL game between the Jets and Bills was "leaked." Lucas' charge makes no sense at all.

Further, even if the videos were leaked (they weren't), there's no evidence that Youngkin or his team were behind it. Is the idea that Democrats should simply be immune from facing pressure over their own degeneracy? That voters have no right to know the moral character of those who are running for office? That sure seems to be what Lucas and others are suggesting.

Actions have consequences. Making porn videos and then running for public office has consequences. Gibson is solely responsible for whatever backlash she's receiving. Trying to blame Youngkin is laughable. It's the kind of hilarious ineptness that caused the left to lose power in the deep-blue state in the first place. Lucas being the face of the Virginia Democratic Party is the best thing that has happened to Republicans in a long time. Hopefully, she continues to rack up more losses as we head into a key off-year election.
