Joe Biden’s recent senility-filled remarks on his 2024 plans caught the eye of Donald Trump. While appearing on Tucker Carlson, the former president trolled Biden, noting that he doesn’t see “how it’s possible” for the current president to run again.
On Monday, Biden was asked about a possible re-election bid, and he once again spouted the non-answer that he’s “planning” to run. But it was another part of the answer that raised eyebrows, largely because it was unintelligible.
Q: Are you running in ‘24?
BIDEN: “Well, I’ll either, I’ll eith—I’ll either be rolling egg or, uh, being the, the gu—you know, the guy who’s pushing them out”pic.twitter.com/vvWcozrRIL

In a write-up on Trump’s reaction to Biden, The Hill described the current president’s commentary as “inaudible,” but it was audible. If you watch the video, you can definitely hear it just fine. Rather, it was the content that was the problem, and Trump was ready to talk about it when Carlson asked.
Former President Trump mocked President Biden for telling reporters during a White House Easter event that he still planned to run for reelection, saying he doesn’t see “how it’s possible.”
When asked by NBC’s Al Roker whether he planned to participate in Easter events at the White House past 2024, a nod to the president possibly seeking reelection, Biden said “I’m planning on running, Al, but we’re not prepared to announce it yet.”
But a portion of Biden’s answer was also inaudible, which Trump poked fun at during an upcoming interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
“There’s something wrong,” Trump said in the interview when asked if he thinks Biden will run in 2024. “I saw his answer today on television … it was a long answer about the eggs and this and that, look I don’t think he can.”
No doubt, there is something wrong. Still, I’d caution against assuming anything at this point regarding Biden’s ability to run again or his probability of winning. The basement strategy worked just fine in 2020, and any race with Trump in it is going to turn into a referendum on Trump. I’m not saying that means the current president is a shoo-in, but I am saying that Biden may not need to do that much to have a very legitimate shot at re-election.
In other words, don’t underestimate the power of partisanship. There’s a very large percentage of the country that would vote for a pet rock over anyone the Republicans nominate. From there, you’ve got a sizable chunk of independents who are going to be very fickle about who the nominee ends up being. Biden coasting through a 2024 run might actually be the best strategy for him. Does he really have to vigorously campaign when the press will campaign for him?
The real question is Biden’s physical and mental health. It’s a very real concern that his body and mind simply won’t hold up to even light campaigning after what we’ve seen over the last several years of his presidency. The current president is feeble, at best, and I’m not sure there are enough drugs in the world to keep him sentient on a multi-city tour.
With all that said, Democrats have managed to play “Weekend at Bernie’s” for this long. Who’s to say they can’t do it for a few more years? All I’m saying is that Trump and anyone else on the right should be ready for what’s coming because it’s not going to be a fair playing field.
