Some days life mimics parody, and today is one of those days.

As RedState reported, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy booted Rep. Adam Schiff off the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. That led to gnashing of teeth, including a reappointment demand from House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. To his credit, McCarthy stood his ground and told Jeffries to pound sand. The Speaker also lit the media up for their dishonest framing of the move.

Schiff, being the shameless attention seeker that he is, just couldn’t accept the consequences of his own actions. After spending four years lying to the American people about various topics and even trying to get social media companies to censor speech, he’s now whining uncontrollably about his removal from the Intel Committee, apparently believing that it is his birthright to be on one of the most powerful and important committees in Congress.

But it’s the medium Schiff chose to cry on that raised eyebrows.

It’s just incredible. Schiff was booted off of the Intel Committee because McCarthy believes he was a security risk and someone not to be trusted with sensitive information. And what does Schiff do? He films a video on a program that has been proven to be Chinese-controlled spyware. It’s as if the California congressman wanted to prove the Speaker’s point.

Also, didn’t the government recently ban the use of TikTok by congressional members (and other government employees)? I guess the out here would be if Schiff was using a personal device, but what kind of judgment does it show to use a Chinese spy app to film a video complaining about being removed from a committee that deals in top-secret information? The answer is that it shows very, very bad judgment.

Schiff is not fit to serve on the Intel Committee. It’s that simple. He’s so thirsty for publicity that he’d actually use an app that threatens national security to get some face time on the cable networks. The Chicoms have to be laughing out loud about how ridiculous that is.
